A cask-strength limited release aged in specially selected reused Islay casks.
This limited release gives Tácnbora Batch 01 a smokier, peated finish. It serves as a textural exploration of both the character of Tacnbora and Ad Gefrin's sense of place, reflecting on the relationship between the two.
Batch 01, the inaugural edition of the Tácnbora, combines Irish and Scottish Whiskies.

Tasting Notes:
The defining vanilla, honey and dried fruit notes that make Tacnbora are still present on the nose with the subtlest hint of smoke in the background along with new aromas of chocolate and spice. On the palate, again the sweetness of Tacnbora is still prevalent and is soon followed by a hit of campfire smoke, orange peel and cloves all supported by the warmth of the high alcohol content.

Palate: Butterscotch, vanilla, chocolate, spice, bonfire smoke, oily
Finish: Sweet, oily finish, vanilla, toffee, pipe tobacco

There is no statement about colour however this release is noticeably darker than the standard Tácnbora.
