SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY

Annandale Man O’Sword Vintage 2017 - STR Ex-Burgundy (cask 375) Single Malt Whisky (2)

Annandale Man O'Sword 2017 STR Cask 375

From Master of Malt

2017 vintage single malt whisky from the Annandale Distillery, released under the Man O’Sword name, meaning this is a peaty number. Matured in a single shaved, toasted, and re-charred cask that previously held red wine, and bottled up at 60.5% ABV in 2022.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Charred marzipan, nutty praline, pipe tobacco, and plenty of peat smoke.

Palate: Charred oak and hints of summer fruits lead to vegetal smoke, with wafts of vanilla and coconut flakes.

Finish: Fiery ginger arrives, warming things up while vanilla and plums balance vegetal barley.

While we have provided a link to the Annandale Distillery page for a related bottle to this one, we have used the tasting notes from Master of Malt as there were some inaccuracies/contradictions found on the Annandale page with reference to the cask number.
