Glen Scotia Campbeltown 1832 Single Malt Whisky

An exceptional single malt whisky with extra peated flavour that delivers
a truly individual Campbeltown malt whisky. The higher peat content gives a more sweet and smoky character and a beautiful rounded finish.

Tasting Notes:

Nose:
Peat smoke on a salty sea breeze with background notes of crème caramel and vanilla.

Palate:
Golden syrup (light treacle), spiced apple and vanilla. Light medicinal peat notes bring balance to the mid-palate

Finish:
Long, lingering peat with dried fruit notes adding sweetness

From Master of Malt (link)

One of the first bottling of Glen Scotia to be released for the Travel retail market, Campbeltown 1832 refers to the region in which the distillery resides, and the year the distillery was founded. The whisky itself features punchier peat than your standard Glen Scotia, and has been finished in Pedro Ximénez casks, making for an intriguing juxtaposition between peatiness and sweetness.
