Matured initially in first fill bourbon barrels before a distinctive nine month finish in the finest French Bordeaux Red Wine casks, this whisky is full of juicy strawberries and red currant flavours with a lingering warmth and tannic spice.
The third release in our ever-popular Glen Scotia Double Cask, Bordeaux Red Wine finish again uses inspiration from our Victorian past as our Campbeltown port was the connection to the rest of the world. Glen Scotia used casks from all over the world, namely red wine giving our tropical, maritime whisky a rich red fruit twist. Glen Scotia Double Cask Red Wine Finish is a rich and indulgent take on our Glen Scotia spirit. These fine red wine casks impart strawberries layered with a gentle honeyed sweetness from the first fill bourbon maturation, this whisky is the perfect combination for Glen Scotia.
