A lovely full-bodied Speysider from the Longmorn distillery, matured for 15 years before being bottled up at 45% ABV. This old bottling looks rather different to the distillery bottlings of Longmorn that you see these days – it's a rather dramatic illustration on the label and everything. Fancy!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
The nose is quite feinty with notes of wood and soft calves leather. There are hints of wood shavings and copper with barley sweetness and toasted cereal notes. The palate is well oaked with a buttery mouthfeel and superb balance. There are some toasty cereal notes and a nuttiness with juicy barley and spice. The finish is long and full of barley and developing aridity.
Whisky Resource Note
Longmorn very rarely have official bottling's, those that are available to buy are often via action or from private collections such as the one in the image.
